A Unique Refuge

Very few organizations exist to help rescue and rehabilitate wolves and wolfdogs. For 25 years Wolfwood Refuge has been the last stop, providing shelter, food, and stimulation, for these unique animals through volunteer efforts and donations.

Our wolves share large enclosures that allow them to socialize, giving them an environment that promotes physical, mental, social, and psychological growth among the animals.

By providing education about wolves to the public, Wolfwood Refuge aims to encourage positive advocacy for wolves and wolfdogs. We provide free educational programs at school assemblies and community events, as well as offering tours and field trips on-site, to help dispel the misinformation, prejudice, and inhumane treatment of these special animals.

Wolfwood is operated entirely through volunteer work, with no paid staff. That means we are always in need of donations and committed volunteers to help us in the care for our furry, four-legged, charges.

We encourage you to get involved and join us for one of our public tours so you can see our sanctuary first-hand, meet the animals, and learn more about our cause. If you’re interested in volunteering a number of opportunities are available, from cleaning and building enclosures to feeding and socializing the animals. Contact us for more information!

Wolfwood is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
