Naughty School Girl Run: Annual Veteran's Benefit This Weekend

Nuns, the Pope, and naughty school girls all on motorcycles. Yes, you read that right.

This weekend is the 5th annual Naughty School Girl Run, an engaging and family friendly bike run put on by Jim Shoultz. This bike run is an annual veteran’s benefit that has become a staple event for both the biking and veteran community of southwest Colorado. Over the last four years, the Naughty School Girl Run has raised $12,000 in support of local veterans. Jim Shoultz started this run with the intention of giving back to local veterans and being able to visually see the positive impact. Going into his fifth year of running this event, the impact is visible.

The Naughty School Girl Run donates all of its proceeds to local veteran organizations like these:

  • Elks Lodge
  • Blue Star Moms
  • Gold Star Moms
  • Building Homes for Heroes
  • Colorado Wounded Vets
  • Soldiers Wish
  • Durango Veterans Outreach Center
  • Durango Veterans Stand Down
  • Veterans Car Giveaway
  • Veterans Holiday Wish List

Featuring a poker run, costume contests, food, drinks, live music, and raffles and prizes, the Naughty School Girl Run draws people in from all over the Four Corners to come for a day of beautiful riding in our niche of the Rockies. Totaling 5 locations, each stop is packed with free swag and opportunities to win prizes. The stops are as follows:

  • 10:00 am - Signup and Registration at Cole’s Chop Shop
  • 12:00pm - Olde Schoolhouse with pizza sold by the slice!
  • 1:00pm - 8th Ave Tavern - Bike Wash!
  • 2:00pm - Billy Goat Saloon
  • 3:00pm - The Rusty Shovel Durango location, with a pig roast and live music!

At the final stop at The Rusty Shovel, the famed prize for “Best Naughty School Girl of 2019” will be announced.

If you’d like to participate (no matter the vehicle!) then pre-register now. The event is family friendly and welcomes all participants. Registration costs $30 and includes a poker hand. If you don’t register, then make sure to drop by one of the hosting locations to enjoy the festivities and meet the crew to support local area veterans.
