Let the Fly Fishin’ Begin - Friday & Saturday, April 5th & 6th
Duranglers 2019 Fly Fishing Festival
Best For: Fly fishing enthusiasts and those wanting to give the sport a shot.
This annual event returns for its 10th year in Durango, bringing experts from around the country for presentations and fishing demos! Whether you’re an experienced fly fisher or a total newbie, this two-day event will have something to tickle your fancy. During the festival, you’ll be cast into fun, education, deals, demos, and be immersed in the area’s fly fishing community. With a special comedic performance by fly fishing comedian Hank Patterson at the Henry Strater Theatre and presentations throughout the weekend, you’ll be ready to cast your first line of the season!
Who’s Got the Voice - Saturday, April 6th
The Durango Voice Finals @ the Henry Strater Theatre
Best For: Music lovers and those looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday evening.
The Durango Voice finalists have been coached and are ready to shine after weeks of practicing. In case you missed it, the first round of the Durango's Voice, mimicked after the TV show, took place in February. Only 12 singers made it through to the final round. After professional coaching, these singers are ready to show Durango what they’ve got! This annual event doubles as a fundraiser for Manna, a local soup kitchen. To help raise funds, the audience can offer donations in the name of the singer they believe deserves to win. The voice that raises the most money receives a prize, and all of the proceeds directly benefit Manna!
