Whether you have someone in mind that you would like to celebrate this weekend with or you would rather ride solo, there are plenty of awesome things to do in and around the area that you won’t want to miss out on. Check it out!
Welcome to Burlesque
A lively, fun, adult night of traditional burlesque with a Powerhouse twist-- science is sexy! This is a show you won’t want to miss. The theatrical performance will feature comedic relief, a plethora of flirty fun, and of course sexy burlesque. Burlesque is known as the most unconventional form of art-- but it is art nonetheless! The show starts at 8:30pm, but the doors will open at 8pm to let the audience explore the Love Zones before the show starts. $69 per person VIP tickets will include a table for two with front row views, drinks and appetizers. $28 general admission seating tickets and $20 general admission standing room tickets are also available. 21+ only!
Single and Ready to ... Drink Beer?
Notoriously single? We get it; we’ve all been there. Just because it’s Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you need love shoved in your face everywhere you look. That’s why you should head to Ska Brewing Co to drink really good beer, devour a decadent dinner Special for One and enjoy other fun party things. So don’t be bummed, there’s a party waiting for you with your name written all over it!
The Vagina Monologues
Friday, 8pm and Saturday, 3pm & 8pm
The Vagina Monologues is a play that is sponsored by SASO- Sexual Assault Services Organization- that openly and freely addresses, “Consensual, nonconsensual sexual experiences, body image, genital mutilation, direct and indirect encounters with reproduction, sex work, and several other topics through the eyes of women with various ages, races, sexualitites, and other differences.” The SASO organization of Durango helps women who have been affected by sexual assault and also educates the community on public safety. Therefore, the goal of SASO is to create preventive programs in the community that aim to put a stop to sexual assault.
