The Weekender // December 18th - 20th

With the amount of snow mother nature so kindly brought us, and then brought us again, it’s been a skiing wonderland here in Durango. With a 42” base at Purg, it’s safe to say many of us have been hitting the mountain a lot the past few weeks. Need a rest yet? If you do, there’s a lot happening this weekend to give you a short break from the slopes (that is, if you can dodge today’s incoming storm).

Bands & Books - Sunday, January 20th

The Bookshop Band Live

Love a good book and great tunes? Then be sure to stop by Maria’s Bookshop this Sunday for the musical duo, The Bookshop Band! These two musicians from the UK write tunes and songs inspired by their favorite books, and play them in the heart of bookshops. They’re currently on tour in the U.S. sharing their love for music and stories, visiting small bookshops and literature festivals across the nation. This event is ideal for those who appreciate live acoustic music, and would find fun in trying to pinpoint which classic novel inspired the tunes.
