The Weekender // July 10 - July 12
Hey Durango, we’ve missed you so badly. To all who have been waiting patiently for some events happening over the weekend to participate in, not to worry, the wait is finally over. Of course we all know the thing to do over the weekend during the hot, sunny days is to go on an awesome local hike, tube or raft the Animas River or go to one of the relaxing local lakes such as Lake Nighthorse; it has still been difficult lately to find a fun way to enjoy the warm summer nights that Durango is oh-so famous for. This weekend, local venues featuring live music are the places to be! Whether you want to stick with your favorite deliciously decadent restaurant to hang out at, have a drink and jam out, or you want to go hopping along main and discover something new-- we have all the information you need to make the best out of your weekend nights.
Get Down Tonight and Listen to Some Live Music … ALL Weekend Long
We all know quarantine has kept us a little too cooped up with no way to get our energy out and our dance on! All weekend long, throughout the town of Durango there will be plenty of opportunity to show off some new moves you learned in the comforts of your own home these past couple of months.
North of town, at The Nugget Mountain Bar, the band Moonbirds and Friends will be playing from 5 - 8pm! Make sure you grab a drink and hang out by the outdoor fire pits-- relax and happy Friday! If you haven’t been out to Fox Fire Farms to check out their live music every Friday night, make sure you head out there this weekend! The vivations start at 6pm and end at 9pm-- grab a bottle of their delicious wine and sit out on the spacious lawn. If you’re staying in the downtown area this weekend, head on over to The Office Spiritorium, Matt Runpow and his guitar will be hosting this spot with his rendition of some Rocky Mountain Soul Music from 5:30 - 8:30pm. If you were looking for something a little less soul and a little more jazz/piano style music, just walk next door to the Diamond Belle Saloon where Adam Swanson will be slaying the keys from 5:30 - 8:30pm.
Contrary to popular belief, Saturdays aren’t just for the boys, they’re for everyone who’s willing to jam out and have a good time! The Nugget Mountain Bar will be hosting the band Alchemy Jack from 5 - 8pm, The Office Spiritorium will be featuring talented musician Sean O’Brian from 5:30 - 8:30pm and Bob Hemenger will be playing at Seven Rivers Steaks Seafood Spirits from 6-10pm.
Sunday funday! Head on over to the Diamond Belle Saloon for some good ole’ fashioned bluegrass music from The Bluemoon Ramblers from 5:30 - 8:30pm, or if you’d rather here some Hawaaiin-style ukulele, head next door from the Belle to The Office Spiritorium that will be featuring sweet sounds from Devin Scott from 5:30 - 8:30pm.
