Red, White, and Blue
Fourth of July in Southwest Colorado
Happy ‘Murica Day, folks! Since July 4th, 1776, we’ve been able to celebrate the Independence of our nation. With this celebration comes family, parades, fireworks, and chowing down on classic American food. Throughout Southwest Colorado, there are multiple celebrations going down: Bayfield, Durango, Silverton, and Vallecito Lake. Check out this article to see all the events happening for this holiday!
Wine, Music, & Food on a Farm
Friday Nights at Fox Fire Farms
For anyone in need of a cool summer evening, head to Fox Fire Farms for a night spent with wine, live music by Leah Orlikowski, local food, and a picturesque setting to surround it all. With no cover charge and no necessary reservation, this event is always open to the public. Enjoy seating on the winery patio or bring your own blanket to set up on the lawn for a personal experience with the live music. The event goes from 6-9pm.
Music in the Mountains Kick-Off
FY5 & StillHouse Junkies
Music in the Mountains is returning this year, bringing your favorite musicians into our own neighborhood. The first concert to start this three week event is this Saturday night at 6pm at the Bayfield Performing Arts Center at Bayfield High School. FY5, a Colorado band who is known for “proudly swimming in the deep current of American music, playing new songs influenced by country and bluegrass traditions but not bound to them,” is the headliner for this initial concert. The Durango-loved StillHouse Junkies will be opening the event.
