Things to do in July in Durango

The season of summer in Durango is upon us, which means rainy afternoons, beaming sunshine in the mornings, hiking, camping, biking, rafting, paddle boarding and adventuring galore! Whether you live here, or you’re just visiting, don’t get too distracted by the beauty around you in our beloved mountain town because you CANNOT forget to check out these awesome events happening all July long! Side note: If you plan on camping this season please don’t forget to check in to seeLa Plata County and San Juan County fire restrictions help us keep our town beautiful. FRIDAY JULY 8TH:
- The Quick & Dirty History Tour check out what Durango’s history is all about
- 68th Annual Four Corners Gem and Mineral Show rocks, gems, crystals – you name it, they’ve got it
- Rocky Mountain Ukefest workshops, concerts and good ole mountain music that grandma and grandpa used to play
- Pots & Pints it’s creativity time with a brew on the side

- Treehouse Adventures at Lake Nighthorse bring the kiddos for a fun adventure on the water

TUESDAY JULY 12TH:
- Concerts in the Plaza @ Three Springs what is summertime for if not to listen to live music outside

- Community Concerts in the Secret Garden every Wednesday thru August 17th
- True West Rodeo every Wednesday all summer long

THURSDAY JULY 14TH:
- SKA-BQ! drink and food specials with live music outside every Thursday all summer long
- Professional Women’s Network Summer Party calling all boss ladies
- Concerts in the Park! FREE concerts at Buckley Park every Thursday for the month of July
FRIDAY JULY 15TH:
- Silverton Summer Sounds head up to the mountains for Silverton Summer Sounds the third Friday of every month thru September
- Movies in the Park bring the whole family for the showing of Sing 2 outside on the lawn at the Durango Rec Center
SATURDAY JULY 16TH:
- iAM Music Fest what's better than spending your Saturday in Durango, CO than listening to awesome music in the park
MONDAY JULY 18TH:
- Open Mic Night jokes, songs, poems– it’s your time to shine (every third Monday each month)
TUESDAY JULY 19TH:
- Concerts in the Plaza what is summertime for if not to listen to live music outside
