Join us for our annual CBX Work Week! Each May, Cross Bar X puts on an annual work week where volunteers come and donate their time and skills to get the camp ready for a season of ministry. Come join us for a great week of fellowship, fun, and an opportunity to serve at CBX! Check out this page to learn more about Work Week and to let us know when and how you can help.

Get your kids outside with SJMA's after-school program, the San Juan Science Ramblers.

Kids, grades 1-6, will be led on after school science-based hiking adventures with our amazing education staff and volunteers. Spring programming will include month-long sessions in April and May every Tuesday and/or Thursday. Each month will have a theme focused on outdoor exploration and learning at hiking trails near Durango.

On May 13, from 5-7 pm, during Durangos Spring Gallery Walk, Sorrel Sky will be featuring the work of Durango wildlife sculptor Bryce Pettit. Creating pieces that range in size from miniature to monumental, Bryce keeps his pieces reductive in style. I try to pare each piece down to the minimum necessary to tell the story. When the composition is reduced to only the essentials, the intensity of the movement and impact of the form is pure and direct. The exhibition will continue through May 31.

Medieval to Metal, developed by the National Guitar Museum, opens May 1st at The Powerhouse. This traveling exhibit celebrates the artistic development of the guitar and will be hosted in the exhibit gallery May 1-Sept 3. Thank you to our presenting sponsor the Alpine Bank who’s support allows us to continue to invite these visitor experiences to share with the local Durango community.
