Accounting Assistant

Job Description:

Spriggs Excavation is a General Civil Contractor operating primarily in the Rocky Mountain, Western, and Midwest regions. We utilize state-of-the-art technology and an experienced team to specialize in electrical substation, renewable energy, and residential excavation projects. We have demonstrated our commitment to quality, performance, and safety with over 15 years of superior performance.


We are in search of the right person to join the accounting team within our growing company. This position will be part time (20 - 24 hrs. per week) with flexible hours and the potential to grow into a fulltime position as the employee takes on additional responsibilities.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Accurately enter accounts payable invoices and credit card receipts
Reconcile credit card statements
Assist with payroll
Client Billing
Order and maintain office supplies
Assist with other duties as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:

Experience with Quickbooks preferred.
High School Diploma required, college student or graduate preferred.
1 year work experience required preferably with accounting or office duties.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
