Job Summary: *
This position is responsible for the day-to-day receiving, distribution, requisitioning and organization of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the day-to-day distribution and organization of materials, supplies and equipment. This position requires attention to detail and strong origination skills.
Maintains the inventory of supplies, pharmaceuticals and equipment in all PAR areas
Receives supplies and equipment
Communicates any inventory issues in accurate and timely manner
Maintains appropriate documentation and files for all transactions
Returns and tracks goods for credit or repairs
Coordinates repair of equipment with departments and managers to ensure appropriate use of resources
Demonstrates the spirit of the philosophy, mission, and values of the hospital through words and actions and implements them into departmental processes, programs, and the working environment.

Education: *High School diploma or its equivalent.
Certification, Licensure: Drivers License required.
Experience, Training, Knowledge: Strong computer skills, attention to detail and strong origination skills Experience in healthcare/surgery preferred.
This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to thirty (30)- fifty (50) pounds in routine material handling, stocking and redistributions process. Arm, hand, wrist, finger coordination required in order to utilize a computer terminal with accuracy and speed to enter and obtain information on a daily basis. Must be able to hear, speak and see in order to provide service to customers and perform computer duties.
Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures*
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS REQUIREMENTS*– Aligns with CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel
Hepatitis B- Lab evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervals
Influenza- mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - Lab evidence of immunity to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination
Varicella (chickenpox) - Lab evidence of immunity to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine
Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) - documented proof of immunization
Tuberculosis Screening- All new-hires undergo a two-step TB skin test
