Job Description:
We are a small private practice in a beautiful location in north Durango. We have a great staff and doctors with a loyal and growing patient base. We are looking for a high-energy, fun-loving professional to help us continue to grow.

Prior experience in healthcare setting is preferred, but no experience necessary. We will train the right candidate.

Comfortable with sales and making payment transactions.
Job responsibilities include:
Gathering patient medical history and enter information in EMR.
Scheduling patients for exams.
Pre-testing patient and getting patient ready for the doctor.
Calling in prescriptions to pharmacies.
Sending referrals between medical offices.
Managing prior authorizations for certain medications.
Assisting patients with contact lens education.
Managing contact lens trials and ordering contact lenses for patients.
Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workplace.
Eyeglass adjustments, repairs and troubleshooting.
Verifying patient insurance benefits and explaining them to patients.
Schedule is 40 hours a week Monday-Friday-- No Weekends!
Salary is dependent on experience! We offer a generous $400 monthly bonus to cover health care costs and paid time off of 3 weeks to start, following probationary period. We also offer staff a 401(k) retirement option with matching!
