This place is growing! We're looking for individuals interested in joining the team long-term. We have a few possible positions including morning (barista/cashier/kitchen support), and lunch/evening front of house.
Primary available shifts will be Wednesday through Saturday. Part time positions and availability for 30 to 40 hour per week position with option of 10 hour shifts for a short work week.
Preference for 21+ due to alcohol licensing requirements, but may consider 18+ with supervision for the right person.
Although we're growing, we are small. We share many responsibilities and help support each other as a team. Each person assigned to front of house will take customer's food & drink orders both in-person and by phone, accurately and efficiently, accept payments, and prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee, tea, smoothies, and occasionally alcohol, and prepare salads.
When not actively helping customers with orders and preparing drinks, this position will help with various duties to keep the place running, including, but not limited to: clearing tables, washing dishes, assisting kitchen staff with basic prep as needed, cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Experience as a barista, wait staff, cashier, or bartending is preferred but we will train the right person. To be successful in this role, you must be a team player, be willing to help support co-workers, and accept support/guidance from managers and co-workers. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others, can keep up with a fluctuating fast paced environment, great ability to recognize tasks needed completed with appropriate prioritization, and reliable attendance.

This position may start as an entry level position with at least $13.65/hr in addition to pooled tips, and paid sick time, however, with proven skills, reliability, and work-ethic, there is opportunity for cross-training, raises, & growth into management.

Greet customers as they enter
Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients including strong knowledge of the menu and options.
Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee/dairy, allergens, etc)
Prepare beverages following recipes at top quality performance
Serve beverages and prepared food
Receive and process payments (must be able to process cards and count back change from cash sales)
Help keep the restaurant clean and organized including helping with dishes
Check if equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
Assist kitchen as needed with simple prep including but not limited to salad prep, portioning appetizers, etc.
Comply with health and safety regulations
Communicate customer feedback to managers
Other tasks as requested by supervisors
Previous work experience as a Barista, Wait staff, or Bartender preferred but not required, will train the right person
Ability to tolerate fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment while maintaining positive customer service skills
Ability to recognize needed tasks and/or refer to lists of tasks when not actively helping customers
Hands-on experience with brewing and other equipment
Knowledge of sanitation regulations and willingness to learn & follow high standards of health and safety
Primarily set schedule but some flexibility to work various shifts is appreciated
Basic math skills, counting change required.
Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
Excellent communication skills
High school diploma; relevant training
