About the Job
In this position, you will be responsible for yeast and fermentation management, dry hopping, finings, operation of centrifuge, filtering, tank cleaning and general cleaning duties. Your responsibilities have a direct effect on preparing beer for packaging. This is a nonexempt position.
Wage Range
$16.00-20.00
Our Ideal Candidate
Must be at least 21 years of age
Passion for Brewing and a commitment towards the production of a consistent and quality product
Two years brewery experience with a minimum of one year CIP experience, brewing experience preferred
Responsibilities
Provide leadership to safety efforts within the brewery
Proper wear and usage of PPE
Partner with brewing, packaging and other departments to meet production goals
Clean, sanitize, and purges tanks according to S.O.P.s
Yeast harvests, pitches, drops, and dry yeast preparation
Carbonation and dissolved oxygen monitoring
Track beer throughout filtration process
Administering of filter and process aids
Work with the maintenance team to ensure machinery is performing correctly
Effectively communicate mechanical and process issues with Production Manager and production team
Basic beer movements – empty and fill tanks, transfer beer
Ensures work area is clean and well organized following GMP and Housekeeping principles
Ensures tank exteriors are cleaned regularly
Monitors and records results of fermentation and cellaring of beer
Ensures that process and product is free from microbiological contamination
Ensures equipment is maintained and kept in good working order
Filters and carbonates beer
Ensure appropriate processes are followed and samples are taken for QA/QC
Make sure all daily tasks and checklists are completed properly
Record all fermentation and filtration information into EKOS ERP
Non-routine Tasks
Assist brewhouse in daily operations
Assist lab in daily operations
Assist Warehouse in daily operations
Helping with snow removal as needed
